Hatchepsut The True Goddess-Pharaoh

by Cassandra Atkins

Seeking in vain for the rest of time. That is what us mere mortals will be persuing, a glimpse of her divine being.

Hatchepsut; Daughter of Tuthmosis 1, Child Wife to her half brother - Pharaoh Tuthmosis 11 , Mother to Neferure, Queen Regent Hatchepsut - for Tuthmosis 111, Pharaoh.

Her reign was one of peace and exploration. She, with her close advisors ruled Egypt. Her vision and unflinching dedication to the rebuilding of Egypts monuments earned her much respect with her loyal supporters. Unfortunately those who came behind her were envious. Many records of her reign were destroyed by her son, Tuthmosis 111 who then ruled after her death.

Hatchepsut took to wearing the traditional male Pharaohs ceremonial clothing along with the beard, which was only worn by a god, a Pharaoh.

Hatchepsut was the acknowledged King of Egypt. Truth is the Soul of the sun god Re. This was the official throne name for Hatchepsut. She was now the Female Horas of Fine Gold, King of Upper and Lower Egypt Maatkare Khnemet-Aman Hatchepsut ( The One Who is joined with Amen, the Foremost of Women).

It is truely unfortunate. This writer cannot go beyond these stated facts, there are so few. Most of Hatchepsut's reign is peiced together from the reigns before her and after. It is my opinion that Hatchepsut was not an exceptional person, however along with her close advisor Senenmut, she had an exceptional reign.
